Gerald A. Goehring (Managing Partner) is a Tony® and Grammy® nominated producer who has been creating and producing new projects across the country for over twenty five years, while managing critically acclaimed non-profits and academic performing arts centers. Mr. Goehring’s career has focused on creating new theatrical projects, working in tangent with a variety of underlying rights owners through commercial theatre ventures and national non-profit organizations.  

Recent national and New York productions include as a lead producer for the critically-acclaimed musical "A Christmas Story, the Musical," which broke existing box office records at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. “A Christmas Story” also received Tony nominations for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. The musical was named one of the Top 10 Shows of 2012 by Time Magazine, achieved recognition as the #1 Musical of 2012 in USA Today and received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Outstanding New Broadway Musical. He also produced the new musical “Frankenstein” which premiered Off-Broadway at 37 Arts Theatre (www.FrankensteintheMusical.com), the national tour “Raisin’ Cane” with Jasmine Guy, after premiering at The Apollo Theatre in New York City. Past New York and national tours include “Oh, Figaro,” “A Child’s Christmas in Wales,” “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “The Giving Tree” and “Definitely Doris.”

Mr. Goehring served as the Executive Director/CEO of the Tony Award® – winning National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD). NTD was founded in 1967 and is the oldest, continually touring international theatre company in the United States.  During Mr. Goehring’s four-year tenure at NTD he produced 3 national tours and 6 regional/Little Theatre of the Deaf tours for over 400,000 children.  He also established the Actor’s Academy, a theatrical training school for professional deaf and hearing artists at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. and the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, CT.

Mr. Goehring co-founded, with Patty Carver, Connecticut Children’s Theatre, Inc. (www.DiscoverCCT.org). CCT is a national touring company established in association with university performing arts centers along the Northeast Corridor, for educators and school systems in the at-risk environments of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Washington DC. Since its beginning CCT has produced, and Mr. Goehring has directed, fifty-three new musicals and performed for over one million children. Mr. Goehring was executive producer for the Grammy® nominated CD of Ogden Nash’s "The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t," starring John Lithgow for “Best Spoken Word for Children.”

Mr. Goehring renovated and opened the first mid-sized venue in Boston’s Theatre district in fifty years, the 452-seat Stuart Street Playhouse and premiered the opening commercial production in the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, CA. Mr. Goehring was interim Executive Director for Weston Woods Institute, the non-profit derivation of the world’s leading adaptor of award-winning children’s literature to film, Weston Woods Studios, a division of Scholastic, Inc.

He is currently Director of Performing Arts at Sacred Heart University (www.SacredHeart.edu) in Fairfield, CT. This includes the 776-seat Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts (www.EdgertonCenter.org) which produces and presents over 200 events a year. As Director of Performing Arts he also oversees the fast growing performing arts department, which has nearly 800 performing arts students in music, dance and theatre. While at Sacred Heart University, Mr Goehring has worked with such astounding artists as Jack Klugman, Ernest Borgnine, Debbie Reynolds, Mickey Rooney, Shirley Jones and Mitzi Gaynor.

 

 

MICHAEL F. MITRI (Managing Partner) was a lead producer for the Broadway, Chicago and National Tours of "A Christmas Story, The Musical" (2013 Tony® nominee for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score), including the 2013 engagement at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. He also produced the 2007 Off-Broadway production of "Frankenstein the Musical." Mike and producing partner Jerry Goehring continue to develop theatre projects for future commercial productions. In film Mike was a co-producer of the comedy "I’ll Believe You" (2006), and he is an associate producer of "The Moment" (2014) and "Dwegons and Leprechauns" (pending). Beyond the stage Mike is an attorney, practicing in the field of Customs and International Trade law. He is a founding partner of the law firm Phelan & Mitri, based in Norwalk, CT. In 1994 Mike co-founded Charter Brokerage LLC, a customs brokerage and freight forwarding enterprise providing services primarily in the petroleum and chemical industries. Mike currently serves on Charter’s Board of Directors and holds the office of Executive Vice President. Mike received his B.S. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and his J.D. degree from Fordham Law School in 1987. He resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife Karen and their three children. Mike serves on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Fairfield Theatre Company, which presents live music, film and theatre in his hometown.
